all are mourning, including us and the rain.

so i've been reading a lot of things about this hostage taking last monday, and since then, i've been monitoring the reactions of people. i feel that commenting on other people's post about this would not help, for i have something to say too, so this is my take.

first of all, i'm very saddened about most of the people's reactions, although i cannot blame them for feeling what they are feeling right now. their people are dead because of a man, and who's not feeling bad? even the rain was mourning that afternoon/night.

and then there were those policemen and media. well i thought no one can leave them behind on a post if this topic would be talked about because they were the ones who were included on the event. we have our own opinions on how the media and the police should have taken the matter, but i would rather not talk about mine, because that would not help anyway since, one, it's over, and two, i'm not a police. i'll only say that i, too, had comments.

since i was one of those who have only seen the event on a television screen, i have also thought of what all of the people thought. but since i wasn't really on the spot, i cannot tell why they were doing what they did. yes we comment on that but, if we were really on their shoes, would we still do what we were telling the tv screen to do? lives are at stake there, and yes, including those of the policemen.

well this really didn't bother me much because the only thing i think we had to do is do better next time if this would happen again (hopefully not). the thing that bothered me more was the reaction of the people. pinoy or not. i would just like to say that this scenario can happen to other places too, not only here. having to live here for all my life, this is my first time watching a hostage taking that triggered almost all of the world to think that people here are just low. i'm not asking everyone to believe me, but i would just want you all to know that. i have seen people here being strong, hospitable, and nice. our country may be not like those of america or china (being on a high level when it comes to economics) but that's what makes us strive harder. we climb, we fall, then we climb back up again. and when it happens again, we climb higher. we're just like other people who wants to have good and happy lives.

there's no need for racist words. i did not want to say the "R" word, but it's one of its kind. so i'm sorry if i have offended anyone. we are all mourning too for all of the people who have died, and more for those who have sacrificed to protect their families. i salute those people, and those who have survived.

blaming will never get us anywhere but where we are standing right now. it's okay to give comments and opinions, but some are really below the belt. we are still like other people, trying to live our lives, trying to survive, learn, and enjoy life to the fullest.

well point being said, our voices really says one thing. filipinos are not all like that.

i love everyone, and we love everyone who lives on this planet. share the love people!!!
