Train

Just this morning i felt that this day would be a jolly day. and i was right.

since mom can't take me to school because the car is color coded, i went to school by jeepney. it was quite traffic at the road, especially at the TESDA part and the expressway, but i got to school just in time.

class was great, too. and lunchtime was great as usual. history was surprisingly okay (haha.. i actually learned something today) and going home was a blast!

well going home was almost my everyday problem, since i live at the south part, and it's very difficult to go south, since most jeepneys at rush hour are full, and cases like today (it's raining) i need to go home early so that i will not be stuck in the rain.

going home at past 4:30 pm would be such a problem for me cause it's the rush hour, and people go home at this hour. so besides the jeepney, i needed to find another way to go home.

almost all of my options were crossed out. i can't count on jeepneys that pass magallanes cause expect that all of the jeepneys going to fti are full, so that's crossed out.

i can't go to alphaland (the new small mall just before sm makati, at pasong tamo) for the same reason. and jeepneys there going to fti are so much harder to fish.

i can go to walter mart, but it'll just make me go farther. but these days, people also find alternatives to go home, so walter mart is crossed out.

i don't wanna go to makati cause it's very far, and there are also many many people there.

so i am left with an option i have never noticed before; the PNR.
or the TRAIN.

yes the train. we remember the train before as the blue rusty old train that we hear everyday, honking its horn, and we also remember the people who were riding the train, sometimes are on the roof, and we can even see some people hanging at the end or at the doors of the train. that's how many people are riding the train.

but recently, they have upgraded the train into a new MRT/LRT like train. it's got aircon, new seats, new looks, new all! it's like you've never seen before!

so just this afternoon i decided to try riding it back home. i asked camille, my blockmate, to come with me and wait for the train with me. it was like she was more excited that i was to ride the new train, and i was like quite nervous cause it was my first time. so when the train arrived, we bid goodbye and the small journey begins.

oh and since it was already rush hour, there were still many people and i had to squeeze in to get in, but it was alright.

so at the train we got tickets. i remember telling camille that i was gonna scan the ticket but sadly, after i left the train, i saw the people giving back the ticket to a man near at the exit, so i gave him my ticket, then i went home.

after i told my mom my experience, she told me that it wasn't really necessary to give the ticket. but, she also explained that, when a man inside the train punches a hole to the ticket, it means the ticket is not important anymore, so you can keep the ticket. but since there were a lot of people earlier and nobody was doing that, we have to give the ticket. next time if i am able to keep a ticket i'll blog about it haha.

oh well that was an experience i'll never forget, haha. it goes with growth (kasama sa paglaki? xD)

you got home safe, yay! Aw, the man took the ticket. :(
Was it better than riding MRT or LRT?
