before really giving up on my finals (for tonight), i thought i'd share something about what i'm up to.
number one. i am really getting addicted to people on youtube. i mean, wong fu productions, kina grannis, kevjumba, david choi, jennifer chung, melissa polinar, happyslip, aj rafael, cathy nguyen, alyssa bernal, mysteryguitarman, mugglesam, nick pitera, annoying orange, and xticklesmilex are just some of my all time favorites.
they make awesome videos, real touching music, and comedic shorts that they thought of all by themselves. i mean, coming from individuals like them who earned their fame by themselves through the magic of youtube only means that they have such creative minds!
try to search one of them, and you'll see what i mean.
and i really think youtube now became the internet's hollywood xD
number two. games. flash. so we were asked to do a flash game, with packaging and all. coding in as3 is so hard! especially if you're only relying on tutorials and one session per week of game authoring subject, and to think that the next session will be the defence already.
searching for what you need through internet is very hard, especially if you're looking for specific things, like when talking about actionscripts, you need to type in what you want your game to do, and then you just can't find anything helpful.
and then at school, you found out that the curriculum has been changed on your batch so all the seniors of your school don't really know how to use your software, and you can't ask them anything about it.
because it really helps if you are being taught by someone who really teaches you on the spot. my professor is my number one run-to-her person. i mean, if i were to do this game really, i'd prefer that i do it at while i'm at her class cause i know i can ask someone about this. but sadly, she too, is new at this software. so she can give me just enough, and not everything. but still, being with her is more preferrable than not with.
anyways, i'm complaining too much, and not telling a story xD
and then there's our finals.
i mean, it's already the last week of april and we still have classes? who will have the mood to do finals then??? we are all now in vacation mood and i can tell that even my classmates are now just being forced by obligations to do the requirements for our finals.
report, animation, radio drama, presentation, film, game, name it, we've learned it. i just wish it would have sinked in our brains for a while.
oh well, that's life. might as well enjoy the suffering studying has given us students.
